At Last! Something
Better Is Here!

Token2 Plus is a versatile terminal emulator. It supports a wide variety of communication protocols such as telnet, rlogin, serial port and modem. Token2 Plus also includes Internet Explorer style address bar and fully customizable toolbars for managing and 1-click accessing remote sites and frequently used commands. For easy remote site management, Token2 Plus provides an address book where each entry can have different settings regarding color, font, and communication options.

Besides single-byte character sets, Token2 Plus can also properly handle two-byte character sets such as Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. It supports local printing and has the ability to capture communication data to a file. Token2 Plus supports ZModem, XModem and raw data file transfer, and can be used with many proxy/firewall servers. It supports general TIS type, SOCKS 4, SOCKS 5, and SOCKS 5 with username/password authentication.

Convenient Address Bar

To make a connection, simply type the server address in the address bar and press <Enter> or click Connect. If you do not use any connection type prefix such as telnet:// or rlogin://, the default connection type set in the Configure » Options » Comm. Options will be used.

If you need to specify a port number for an Internet connection, append the number with a colon(:) character to the server address. For example, if you want to connect to a server whose address is 192.168.0.5 on the port number 99, enter "192.168.0.5:99". For Internet connections, you can also specify a login user name with an at(@) character. For example, if you enter "my_user_id@192.168.0.5", Token2 Plus will use the "my_user_id" when the server requests such information.
Available Connection Type Prefixes
Telnet telnet://
Rlogin rlogin://
TCP/IP Direct tcp://
COM Port Direct com://
Dialup Modem (TAPI) phone://

Comprehensive Address Book

Token2 Plus includes an Address Book for managing server addresses. Each server entry can have different settings for various aspects of the connection, i.e., you can assign different font, text/background colors, keyboard mapping scheme, communication options and etc. for each server entry. Address Book also supports creating virtual folders for categorizing or grouping server entries.

Address Book entries are integrated with other features of Token2 Plus. You can have selected server entries listed directly on Token2 Plus' toolbar menu system, which enables you to access the entries without actually bringing up the Address Book window. As the toolbar system supports full customization, you can also place these selected entries anywhere on toolbars.

The address bar recognizes the "Host Name" of a server entry. When you type an address in the address bar, Token2 Plus first looks for a matching "Host Name" in the Address Book. If an entry with the same "Host Name" is found, its configuration will be used instead of the default settings.

Easy Auto Login Setup Token2 Plus supports auto login and its settings can easily be configured in the Address Book. In Auto Login tab, enter what Token2 Plus should wait for before sending your user ID and password in the Prompt edit-boxes, and the actual data in the Send edit-boxes.

Reliable VT100/VT102/VT52/ANSI/XTerm
Terminal Emulations

Token2 Plus provides solid VT100/VT102/VT52/ANSI terminal emulations. It even supports commonly used XTerm terminal code extensions for handling mouse events and changing title bar captions.

Double-Byte Character Sets Besides single-byte character sets, Token2 Plus can also properly handle two-byte character sets such as Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

Fast Scroll When you enable Token2 Plus' Fast Scroll option, it will greatly improve the client-to-server user response time. If this option is selected and the server rapidly sends a large amount of data, Token2 Plus updates the screen only after certain interval while processing the data. Also, if the screen needs to be scrolled, only the last screen line is updated.

Such behavior will result in greatly decreased data processing time, hence improving the client-to-server user response time, i.e., for example, if you press CTRL+C while the server is sending a very long list of files, the listing would stop much quicker when the Fast Scroll option is selected.

Effortlessly Navigating Server Application
with Mouse Clicks

SmartClick As you move your mouse pointer over the terminal screen, Token2 Plus automatically detects and selects the word underneath. And if you left click on this selected word, Token2 Plus swiftly sends the word to the connected server.

The behavior of SmartClick can be adjusted through its own option-setting window that can be accessed by clicking the SmartClick status icon. In this option-setting window, if 'Always Send <ENTER> After SmartClick' and 'Never Send <ENTER> After SmartClick' are not checked, Token2 Plus will send <ENTER> key depending on the selected word, i.e., if the selected word has more than one characters, an <ENTER> key is sent after the word, otherwise only the selected word is sent.

Token2 Plus also recognizes menu separators commonly used in UNIX applications. If a menu separator is found in the word, only the menu portion of the word will be sent. For example, if the selected word is m:mail or m)ail, only the letter 'm' will be sent to the server.

Easy Commands Easy Commands feature in Token2 Plus enables the user to define frequently used commands as a button. For example, you can assign a complex database access query to a button, and whenever it is needed, you can just click the button instead of retyping the whole query. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to an Easy Command button.

Handy Tools for Studying or Debugging
Server Communication Protocols

TCP/IP Direct Connection Token2 Plus supports TCP/IP direct connection. In this connection mode, Token2 Plus connects to the server without applying any communication protocol.

You can use this connection mode along with Token2 Plus' HEX value displaying feature (Session » Edit » HEX Mode) to study or debug the communication protocol your server uses. It should also provide better interface for testing servers that use a plain-text communication protocol such as Web(HTTP), FTP or SMTP.

COM Port Direct Connection In Token2 Plus, you can easily setup initial hardware control line states for a COM port connection in various ways. You can individually set RTS/CTS/DTR/DSR control lines.
Slow Paste Token2 Plus supports pasting clipboard-stored text line by line. This feature should be useful when you need to cut and paste configuration command lines while setting up routers or switches. By briefly pausing after sending each line, you should be able to review the result of each command line. If any error is spotted while applying the commands, you can immediately stop sending the rest of the lines simply by hitting the <ESC> key.

The time interval for sending each line can be adjusted through "Slow Paste Line Sending Interval (msec.)" option under Configure » Options » Modem / Misc.
